I am terribly behind in these posts - sorry everyone!
So much has happened that I never seem to get time anymore to sit down and post pictures and updates in Luc-land. Needless to say Luc gets more and more adorable (and adored) every day. Here are the grand strokes of what we've been up to (pictures to come) and Luc's latest milestones:
1. FIRST TOOTH!!! (I've been trying to get a picture of this!) Luc sprouted a first tooth (bottom) a couple of weeks ago, immediately after spending the week in Oakville with Grandma, then Grandpa & Cristina. Of course, while teething he was in a rotten mood, but I think that everyone forgave him - despite a spectacular meltdown in the bath while Uncle Simon and Aunt Jen were visiting.
2. Solid foods! So far he's tried and enjoyed: rice, oats, barley, carrots (not a favourite), sweet potato (yum!), and peas (verdict is out on this one). Most of it goes on his face, but he quite enjoys holding the spoon at the end of the meal as a treat.
3. Swing set! I took him to the park in Westmount yesterday and he managed to swing in the baby swings (with some support!) and ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!!!! He laughed and laughed the whole time. The great summer weather has melted all our snow and brought out the mummies, daddies and babies to the park en masse - what a great way to spend an afternoon.
4. Exersaucer - Luc is big enough now to hang out in the "exersaucer" where he happily bangs things. Again, will try to get a picture of this.
5. Maple Syrup - We went to Gilbert's family's cabane a sucre last weekend through the snow and mud and spend the afternoon eating maple syrup on bacon, sausages, pancakes, toast etc. Uncle Renald even gave Luc a taste of the pure stuff when Mummy wasn't looking!!!! (Pictures to come).
