In April we had a professional photographer come and take pictures of the boys. Here are some of my favourites. (Now if only I could find a way to get some of these into the background picture of the blog...)
One day (LITERALLY) I am outside wearing summer pants, a short sleeved shirt and sandals enjoying 17 degree weather and sunshine and the next it is snowing all day! At least Luc enjoyed the snow...
In February we spent two weeks in Myrtle Beach as a family holiday. It was pretty relaxing - just slept, ate, played with the boys, (throwing rocks and sand in the water with Luc in the mornings and feeding the geese post-nap mostly). There was one trip to the Aquarium with Grandad and one with Grandma, but the real treat was the beach.
First week Grandad came to visit, and the second was Grandma's turn!
On December 29th - 30th I spent 24 hours in New York City with Jon. The point was to meet up with Skye and James (we haven't seen each other in over 3 years!!!!) We managed to fit in: a tour in a packed Guggenheim, a walk down Park Avenue a diaper blowout in a hotel room and brunch at the Parker Meridian before returning home. It was wonderful to see Skye & James again and Jon absolutely fell in love with Skye - well who wouldn't? Look out James...
No, not what you might think despite the Blog title...
Jon, like Luc, is fascinated by balls. I was given a gift certificate to Babies R'Us from the lovely ladies at ERPI (publishing company where I work) and decided to splurge on this play mat for Jon. As you can see, he LOVES it!
(Luc of course, has already tried the play mat out several times, crawling through the hoops and declaring "Mummy too big! Luc!" Indeed...
We've started a new ritual on the weekend: everyone piles into our bed ("BIG BED") and Luc gets to watch Dora the Explorer while we all have a cuddle. Here is a sleepy Luc & brother Jon snapped on one occasion, with Gilbert & the boys on another.
